An Ideal Husband Curtains including swags, tails, pattern matching, and shaped valance. Full stage photos by Simon Vail.
I’ve made velvet curtains, Arctic tents, and more in film and theatre, most recently handmaking two large sets of multi-layered Victorian curtains & window treatments for An Ideal Husband at Wokingham Theatre.
I qualified from the National Design Academy in March 2026 with a Diploma in Curtain Making & Soft Furnishings, covering hand and machine made curtains with a range of pleated headings, swags & tails, padded pelmets, Roman blinds, and soft furnishings such as piped cushions.
I’ve also been learning traditional and modern upholstery at The Chair School, Henley, and I’ll begin studying Stage 1 of the AMUSF diploma in September.
